The story of Robbie Williams is on the way – with the help of a CG monkey too: more details on Better Man right here.

Biopics of music stars continue to be a current Hollywood go-to trend, with Kenneth Branagh for instance shortly to begin work on his biopic of the Bee Gees.

But already ahead of him in the queue is Michael Gracey, the director of The Greatest Showman. For he’s in the midst of making a biopic of music star Robbie Williams, and filming kicks off early next year on the project.

The film is called Better Man, and Williams will be appearing himself in the film. But also, it’s said that – nope, not making this up – a CG monkey will also play Williams in the film.

Williams’ music will, of course, be utilised as well, and production is taking place in Australia on the film.

Lots of details of this are still set to be forthcoming, just that it’s known to be happening, and it’s not going to be on the cheap side. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
