Here’s the trailer for Rocks, a must-see film heading to cinemas this April.

Off the back of its festival debut last year, the acclaim has built for the new film from director Sarah Gavron, that goes by the name of Rocks. It stars Bukky Bakray, Kosar Ali, Shaneigha-Monik Greyson, Ruby Stokes, Tawheda Begum, Anastasia Dymitrow and Afi Okaidja, and it’s penned by Theresa Ikoko and Claire Wilson.

A new trailer for the film has been released, that gives a flavour as to what’s in store…

The synopsis reads as follows…

The film follows teenager Rocks (Bukky Bakray) who fears that she and her little brother Emmanuel (D’angelou Osei Kissiedu) will be forced apart if anyone finds out they are living alone. With the help of her friends, she evades the authorities and navigates the most defining days of her life. ROCKS is a film about the joy, resilience and spirit of girlhood.

And the movie is in cinemas from April 10th. More on it as we hear it.
