Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be joined by Russell Crowe in Sony’s Spider-Man universe movie, Kraven The Hunter.

Sony is crewing up one of its upcoming Spider-Man spin-off movies, with the news that its Kraven The Hunter film has attracted Russell Crowe to its ensemble. Last time we saw him in a major comic book film, he was Superman’s dad in Man Of Steel. Now, he’s going to be appearing alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the Kraven film, and don’t bet against him taking on another paternal role in this one too. His exact part in the film hasn’t been confirmed, though.

What we do know is that J C Chandor is directing the film, working from a script by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. Furthermore, Sony needs to get this one movie: Kraven The Hunter is currently on the release schedule for January 13th 2023. Furthermore, more adventures are already planned, with Taylor-Johnson’s deal to play the character covering more than one movie. Although that said, now that No Way Home has blasted open live action multiverses, lord knows just which movies he might end up appearing in.

More casting is expected shortly as the film ramps up for production. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
