The Lee Majors-fronted 1980s TV show The Fall Guy is reportedly getting a movie adaptation, with Ryan Gosling leading the cast.

We’ve already seen Ryan Gosling play a stunt driver in 2011’s Drive. Now, it looks like we might get to see the actor portray TV’s most famous stuntman in a big screen reimagining of The Fall Guy, the 1980s television show that starred The Six Million Dollar Man himself, Lee Majors.

The show, which heralded from small-screen producing legend Glen A Larson (Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider) followed Majors’ stuntman, the amazingly-named Colt Seavers, as he worked in the movie business as a stuntman by day whilst getting embroiled in off-screen adventures by night as a private detective.

Gosling already has a few interesting roles coming up. He’ll be playing Ken in the upcoming Barbie film and portraying the lead character in The Wolfman. Next though, he’ll be in the Netflix action thriller, The Gray Man opposite Chris Evans. Gosling is rumoured to be working on an untitled project with Atomic Blonde and Bullet Train director, David Leitch. If that’s the case, this could well be it, with Leitch’s credentials as a former stunt performer making him a prime choice to helm a project like this one.

There’s no official announcement on this one, rather a report in the Australian media where the film is supposedly set to shoot. We’ll bring you official confirmation of this project as we hear it.
