A new romantic comedy, centred around a lead character with Down’s Syndrome.

The mighty Sally Phillips already has one new movie to look forward to, with Off The Rails now pretty much done and dusted, ahead of its March 2020 release. Next up, she’s off to Sweden to film a new romantic comedy that’s currently going by the title of Don’t F*ck Juliet (The Wedding).

She’s co-written the film with Nisti Sterk, with Nick Hornby acting as script editor. And the plan is to film the movie in 2020, with a Swedish shoot planned for the film. She was able to secure a larger budget for the movie by filming there.

The film will have a lead character with Down’s Syndrome at its heart. Phillips has not only made a terrific documentary – A World Without Down’s Syndrome – but has campaigned tirelessly to raise understanding of what Down’s is. Her eldest has Down’s, and she’s been very vocal about what a happy life they have.

We look forward to the film, which we don’t have a release date for yet. As we hear more, we’ll definitely let you know.
