With work pressing ahead on Scream 6, Neve Campbell has been approached to return (again) – but hasn’t committed yet.

Whatever the greenlit Scream 6 ends up being called – they can’t call it Scream again can they? – the fact remains that Paramount wants the movie shooting by the summer, and the same creative team have been re-hired too.

As such, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are returning to direct, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick re-hired for screenplay duties too. But in terms of returning cast, there’s some uncertainty over just who will be back and who won’t.

Neve Campbell, who’s appeared in every Scream film to date, is one who’s currently on the fence about a return to the franchise. She’s admitted in a new interview that she’s been approached for Scream 6, but she’s not made her mind up yet.

She confirms she’s had an approach, but adds “there’s no script yet. There is a draft coming in soon is what I was told. Actually, I was supposed to call a producer yesterday, because he wanted to talk to me about what’s going on. You know, we’ll see. I’ll read the script and see how I feel”.

The project is coming together quickly, given the success of the last movie at the start of the year. As we hear more, we’ll let you know…
