Should you want to know more about The Matrix Resurrections, follow the white rabbit – or, er, click this link instead.

The first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections was fascinating, for lots of reasons. Perhaps the main one though was the way that it presented a baffling connection to the original trilogy… we certainly couldn’t figure it out. It all felt very much like The Matrix, so mission accomplished, we’d imagine. However, another trailer has now landed, delving into the story in further detail, should you wish to see it.

The trailer drops forms part of an interesting promotional campaign that has also included an NFT drop of 100,000 tokens which garnered so much interest it crashed the platform selling them, and an Unreal 5 Matrix tech demo which is presently sitting on my PlayStation, with a clock ticking down mysteriously to tomorrow. Insert culturally overused joke abut if offering me a red pill or blue pill here.

So here is the second trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth movie in the series. It’s arriving in cinemas on the 22nd December, with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jessica Henwick, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris amongst its ensemble. Lily Wachowski directs, and here’s that second trailer for the film…
