Sequins: British drag queen short film made available for free viewing

See the acclaimed British short film Sequins right here for free, the story of a teenager in 1990s Blackpool who wants to be a drag queen.

It took a Kickstarter campaign raising £6500 to bring the film into existence, and now the acclaimed British short Sequins has been made available for free viewing online.

Written by Amy Clarke and directed by Michael Beddoes, the film is a coming of age story set in Blackpool in the late 1990s. The character of Paul has a burning ambition to become a drag queen, something that earns him ridicule and abuse.

Robbie Gaskell takes on the lead role, in an ensemble that also includes James Dreyfus and Ben Willbond. And the movie has already picked up awards attention too.
