Marvel will be pressing ahead with Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings 2 it’s been revealed, with Destin Daniel Cretton back to direct.

It might not have set the box office alight in the same way that other Marvel movies have managed, but also it was released during a global pandemic, and that’s taken its toll. Furthermore, the film in question – Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings – earned good reviews, and thus far is arguably Marvel’s best film of the year.

Now comes the news that its director – Destin Daniel Cretton – has signed a long term deal with Disney to make films for its subsidiaries, and that specifically includes Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings 2.

The film is expected to see the return of Simi Liu, Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina and Tony Leung, but further details are a little way away as of yet. Furthermore, it’s under wraps most of what else Cretton is up to under his new Disney deal.

For the moment though, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings 2 is a definite, and as we hear more about it, we’ll let you know.
