Zachary Levi will return in the Shazam sequel, that’s been set for April 2022.
It’s not a massive surprise, but Warner Bros has nonetheless confirmed that a sequel to Shazak is on the way.
The original film, starring Zachary Levi in the lead role, arrived earlier this year, and was a solid hit for the studio. Levi will return for Shazam 2, which the studio has now dated for April 1st 2022.
Further details are thus far unknown, aside from the fact that David F Sandberg is set to direct again. And now we also hear that filming on the movie is looking set to begin this very summer. More on that here.
Given that the film is still over two years away, don’t expect much in the way of promotional collateral for a while. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
