The bulk of She’s All That’s original creative team are returning to make He’s All That – more details right this way.

We’ve got a vague memory of this one being chatted about a month or two back, but at the very least, a few more details have now come to light. We’re talking about the remake of She’s All That that’s currently going through the Hollywood cooker. Cunningly, it’s going to be called He’s All That.

Freddie Prinze Jr and Rachael Leigh Cook starred in the original, and the new version will be led by Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan. Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob and Myra Molloy have all been added to the ensemble.

What gives this added promise is the presence of Mean Girls director Mark Waters behind the camera, with original screenwriter R Lee Fleming and producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay all back.

The new film will be set in the world of – oh lord – influencers, with the challenge this time to turn Tanner Buchanan’s character from the nobody at school into the prom king.

No word yet on when it all goes into production, but it doesn’t sound too far away.

Deadline.
