Sing Street is heading to Broadway

The Sing Street stage musical is making the big leap to Broadway.

The brilliant film musical Sing Street is making the journey to the Broadway stage. The film was written and directed by John Carney, and he’s got form here. Previously, his film Once also became a hugely successful musical. In the case of Sing Street – a magical film that we’ve covered in the Film Stories podcast before – a musical production has been running off Broadway, that’d attracted generally quite good reviews thus far.

Now, from the end of March, its Broadway run will begin, and the show is being slightly revised ahead of it making its debut there. It still boasts the music from the film, as you’d expect.

There are no plans that we know of to bring the show to the West End in the UK as of yet. We’ll keep you posted on that, though.
