Joe Carnahan’s 2006 star-packed movie Smokin’ Aces has been picked for a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray catalogue disc release.

A film that didn’t immediately become a sizeable hit, but has generated a growing audience on its assorted home formats releases, is Joe Carnahan’s Smokin’ Aces. The 2006 movie, starring Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Common, Alicia Keys, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven and a fella called Ryan Reynolds, is an action-packed dark comedy. And what’s more, it’s been chosen by Universal for a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray physical media release.

The new 4K disc will be on sale from May 2nd, and will come with a Blu-ray in the box as well. That means that previous extra features will be carried over, including a pair of commentary tracks and a mix of deleted and extended scenes.

The disc has gone up for preorder now, and you can pick yourself a copy up and find more information on the release right here.
