Riz Ahmed stars in the terrific Sound Of Metal, which is now being lined up for a physical media release at the end of May – more details here.
It’s currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video service, it’s heading into UK cinemas from May 17th, and now we learn that the superb Sound Of Metal is getting a physical media release as well.
The multi-Oscar nominated film stars Riz Ahmed and Paul Raci, and comes from writer and director Darius Marder. Shot a couple of years ago, the small indie movie has really roared over the past months, and deservedly so.
What we’re not sure of at the moment is whether the disc release will come with much in the way of extras. Certainly the official release that we’ve been sent seems shy of them, but there may be some announced a little way down the line.
No DVD release for this one, interestingly: the only physical media format it’s coming out on is Blu-ray. It’s out on May 31st, and you can get more information and preorder a copy right here.
