The finest Star Trek film is 40 years old this year – and it’s going to be heading back into UK cinemas in June.

Paramount Pictures has just enjoyed a successful re-release of The Godfather trilogy in UK cinemas, with the first film in that particular saga celebrating its 50th birthday. Now we learn that there’s another anniversary on the way that’s also going to be marked with a special cinema re-release.

This year, arguably the best of the Star Trek movies – Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan – is celebrating its 40th birthday. And we’ve discovered that this will be marked with a cinema re-release in the UK for the movie. The film’s had big screen outings over the years, but this looks to be a full re-release a la The Godfather, and will be able to be enjoyed on cinema screens right around the country.

Paramount will be releasing the movie (again) on Friday 17th June 2022. And whilst we don’t have further details beyond that at the moment, it’s a very well return to the big screen for a much-loved movie. More as we hear it – Khan you wait to see it? (It’s okay, we’ll get our own coat…)
