Netflix releases the sequel to its hugely successful Tall Girl in February: more details here, and the trailer for the movie too.

2019’s Tall Girl was a teen-focused romantic comedy from the house of Netflix, that was directed by Nzingha Stewart and starred Ava Michelle as a 16-year old called Jodi. A 16-year old who’s much taller than her classmates.

It might not have garnered hugely impressive reviews from critics, but Tall Girl hit where it counted, with its target audience. And within a year, it became known that a follow-up was on the way.

Now, that follow-up is nearly here. Penned once again by Sam Wolfson although with Emily Ting stepping into the director’s chair, Ava Michelle is back as Jodi. And the new film now has a release date on Netflix of February 11th.

The trailer for the film has landed too, and here’s a taste as to what’s in store…

We’ll leave you with the synopsis…

After her inspiring speech at the homecoming dance, Jodi (Ava Michelle) is no longer just the “tall girl” – she’s popular, confident, has a boyfriend, and just booked the lead role in this year’s school musical. But as the pressure of her newfound popularity intensifies, so do her insecurities, and new relationships are formed while old ones are tested. As the world she built starts to crumble around her, Jodi realizes that standing tall was only just the beginning.
