Over the past 18 months I have been working on a passion project with my wife Louise. It’s a podcast called the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Festival.

We have always loved films that are under 90 minutes in length, and for each podcast we talk to a different special guest about an under-90-minute movie they’d like to enter into our fantasy film festival. We’re currently on a healthy 34 episodes.

The festival’s line up is eclectic, but kind of brilliant. Where else would you see two Shane Meadows’ films – Dead Man’s Shoes and Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee on the same billing as Disney’s animated films Dumbo and 101 Dalmations? Where else could you jump from Jason Statham’s action romp Crank via Rob Reiner’s classic Stephen King adaptation Stand By Me to Nobuhiko Obayashi’s cult ‘70s horror House! And while my enthusiasm is around the film’s runtimes, the podcast has also become a fantastic outlet for our guests to share some of their own cinematic passions.

Over the course of making this show, I’ve had the opportunity to watch some incredible movies as part of my research and I’ve also accumulated a lot of physical media which doesn’t necessarily get watched once the podcast goes online. So, I thought now might be a good time to have a 90 Minutes Or Less Jumble Sale!

Until Wednesday 8 April, I’m running a fundraising auction on eBay to raise money for an excellent charity, The Trussell Trust. They support a nationwide network of food banks and provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty. During these uncertain times, additional income is crucial for the Trussell Trust to keep doing what they do.

100% of the money raised from the auction will go to the charity. Please be generous! You can see the full listings here.

Some highlights include a very limited edition Safety Not Guaranteed poster by artist Sam Gilbey, from our first 90 Minutes Or Less live show with director Colin Trevorrow. We also have blu-rays of titles from recent episodes including the Masters Of Cinema version of House, the 25th anniversary edition of Stand By Me and the Disney titles Dumbo and 101 Dalmations.

Some of the DVDs are also quite rare. It was surprisingly hard to get hold of Dead Man’s Shoes and Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee as both titles are currently out of print, but they’re both also part of the auction. We also have a signed copy of recent guest Mae Martin’s superb book, Can Everyone Please Calm Down? And a whole load more!

For the record yes, there are a couple of over 90 minute films in there too. But I was having a clear out and every little helps.

Thanks for reading, and please share the auction far and wide. We’re keen to raise as much money for charity as possible. If you can, please bid on something in the sale too!
