Claes Bang, Brian Cox and Olga Kurylenko lead the upcoming chilling mystery The Bay Of Silence – and here’s the trailer.

Caroline Goodall may be best known for her acting work in the likes of Hook and Schindler’s List, but more recently she’s been working away on writing screenplays. Specifically, the script for the screen adaptation of Lisa St Aubin de Teran’s novel The Bay Of Silence. Goodall has adapted the mystery for the screen, and the film has been directed by Paula van der Oest.

Goodall is part of the ensemble as well, that also includes Brian Cox, Claes Bang and Olga Kurylenko. And the movie has been confirmed for DVD and digital HD release in the UK from September 18th. No certificate has been awarded yet by the BBFC, but the distributors are fully expecting this one to get an 18.

Here, then, is the trailer for the film…

And for the minute, we’ll leave you with its synopsis…

When Will (CLAES BANG, DRACULA) discovers his wife (OLGA KURYLENKO, THE COURIER) and three children have suddenly disappeared, his perfect world begins to unravel. Setting out on a frantic search to recover his family and finding them in a remote village in northern France, relief soon turns to horror as he discovers his infant son has mysteriously died. What happened to his family? Is the cost of truth a price worth paying?
