The Blade trilogy coming back to Blu-ray

The trilogy of Blade films, starring Wesley Snipes in the title role, are to get a fresh Blu-ray release in the UK this summer.

We weren’t actually aware that the Blade films – at least in a trilogy set – had been deleted on the Blu-ray format, at least until we spotted a listed for a new release coming up. But as Disney considers a future for the character in the Marvel screen universe, Warner Bros – whose New Line subsidiary made the previous movies – is reissuing the films.

It’s listed a trilogy box set for release on 27th July 2020 (it had been set for May, but that date has been put back). From what we can gleam, this is more a straight reissue than anything particularly new, but we’d expect the bountiful extra features to be carried across from earlier releases of the films.

The set is slowly started to get listed at assorted etailers. And here’s the listing for it at HMV. As and when we get box art and further details, we’ll let you know…
