A new video shines light on, well, the putting together of The Lighthouse’s lighthouse.

Very mild spoilers for The Lighthouse lie ahead

From director Robert Eggers, comfortably one of the most head-messing films of the past few months has been The Lighthouse. The movie stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, and the lighthouse of the film’s title is clearly a major part of it too.

As a new video that’s popped up on YouTube demonstrates too, said lighthouse was constructed for the movie. It’s just a quick watch, but gives an idea as to the undertaking involved…

The movie cost $4m to physically make, and we’re going to go out on a limb and suggest that the building of a lighthouse was responsible for a good chunk of that.

The film will be heading to on demand services and disc formats in the UK later this year. Not sure we’d recommend you watch it whilst in isolation though…
