The Craft remake set to bypass cinemas

The new take on The Craft looks set to debut on Amazon’s Prime Video service rather than in cinemas, it’s been revealed.

It’s been known for a while that a fresh take on the much-loved 90s teen horror The Craft has been in the works. Written and directed by Zoe Lister Jones, the movie had been due for release around about now. But obviously, the world is in a bit of a state.

However, the movie – which is being produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions – is nearer to release than we though. It’s now set to bypass cinemas altogether – in the US at least – and it’s been given an October 27th 2020 release date on the Amazon Prime Video service in America.

We’d assume therefore that the film will also miss cinemas in the UK and head Amazon-wards, but that’s yet to be confirmed. We’ll keep you posted, of course, as we hear more.
