The adaption of acclaimed play The Father is about to start filming.

Heading to London this month is the shoot of The Father, a new film that’s headlined by Anthony Hopkins, and that’s now added fellow Oscar-winner Olivia Colman to its cast.

The film is based on a play called La Pere, that was penned by Florian Zeller. Christopher Hampton handled the English translation, and the pair have come together to write the screenplay for the movie. Zeller is set to direct the film.

Trademark Films is backing this one, with David Parfitt one of the producers of the film. The project was first reported nearly a year ago, and the story follows a retired dancer who lives in France, trying to cope with the early onset of Alzheimer’s.

No release date has been revealed as of yet. Filming is expected to take a month.
