The first four Star Trek films are getting fresh Blu-ray releases

At the start of September, the first four Star Trek movies are getting new individual Blu-ray releases in the UK.

Each week, we scour the listings of new and upcoming physical media releases in the UK, and occasionally something pops up out of the blue.

That’s certainly the case with the first four Star Trek movies, that have been added individually to the release roster this coming September. This is presumably to tie in with the 4K boxset of the first four films (they’re landing on the same date). But the Blu-rays are being released individually, and there’s no real clue at the moment if there’s anything fresh on them.

We do know that The Wrath Of Khan will come with both the theatrical and the director’s cuts of the film, and that The Motion Picture won’t be the remastered director’s cut that Paramount is still working on for release over the next year sometime.

However, see for yourself. The listings for the four Blu-rays are found here:

Star Trek The Motion Picture

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan Director’s Cut

Star Trek III: The Search For Spock

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

If we learn any more about these releases, we’ll let you know…
