Frank Grillo joins Salma Hayek, Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackman for the return of The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

Samuel L Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds are all back on board for a sequel to the hit action comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard. The trio will lead the new movie, which will follow the aforementioned original by three years, and also back on board are screenwriting Tom O’Connor and director Patrick Hughes.

Filming on the sequel is set to begin this month, and currently it’s set for a late summer release, so it’ll be interesting to see if that holds. That notwithstanding, we now learn that the mighty Frank Grillo has been added to the cast, and he’ll be playing an Interpol agent who proves pivotal in recruiting the three core characters for their new mission.

We’ll keep you posted as we hear more on the film…
