Salma Hayek, Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds will be in UK cinemas in just two weeks’ time, it’s been revealed.

After a year of reporting news that release dates of movies are being put back, it still feels quite odd to talk about releases going the other way. We’re certainly not grumbling about it, mind.

Lionsgate, for the second time, has now brought forward the release date for its incoming comedy The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. As well as featuring an admirable collection of apostrophes in its title, the film will reunite the core cast from the original, with Salma Hayek, Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds once again leading the ensemble. They’re joined this time by Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman, with Patrick Hughes once again directing.

The film will now arrive in UK cinemas really rather soon, with a date of Friday 18th June inked in. What’s more, Lionsgate has also unleashed a new clip from the film as well. We’ll leave you with that, and the synopsis for the movie.

Clip first…

And that synopsis…

The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.
