Joe Dante’s The Howling is getting a posh new release, as it makes its debut on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format.

The latest in Studiocanal’s line of deluxe 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases is a 4K remaster for Joe Dante’s much-loved 1981 cult hit The Howling. The film, starring Dee Wallace, Patrick Macnee, Dennis Dugan and Christopher Stone, will be arriving on the format with the involvement of Dante.

It’s a three disc set this one. There’s the 4K disc with the new remaster of the film, then Blu-rays that include a look at the career of Dante, a feature examining the special effects of The Howling, deleted scenes, outtakes, a collection of art cards and a 20 page booklet.

The release is heading our way on October 25th and it’s gone up for order now. You can find out more information and get yourself a copy right here.
