A ghostly story set off the coast of Scotland. Here’s the trailer for The Isle

A new British movie that’s set to head to our screens next year is The Isle, the latest film from director Matthew Butler-Hart.

He co-wrote the script with Tori Butler-Hart, and the movie is headlined by Conleth Hill and Alex Hassell. As per the official synopsis, the story for this one is set on a remote island off the west coast of Scotland back in 1846. A storm causes a ship to sink, leaving three survivors in the midst of thick early morning mist.

When said mist clears, that’s when The Isle of the film’s title appears before them. An abandoned isle as it happens, albeit with four residents, and a growing mystery.

Sir Ian McKellen is listed as associate producer on the movie, that’s arriving in US on February 8th next year. A UK release date announcement is imminent too, we’re told. And here’s the trailer for the movie…
