Doug Liman offers a visual insight into how the Edge Of Tomorrow 2 story planning is going.

Director Doug Liman has been working over the last year or two on the big screen adaptation of Patrick Ness’ Chaos Walking, a project that’s been undergoing significant reshoot and restructuring work. But also on Liman’s radar has been the mooted sequel to Edge Of Tomorrow, that’s currently going by the title of Live Die Repeat 2.

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are both set to return for the new film should Liman be able to ultimately get it off the ground. Cruise’s schedule is packed for the next year with two Mission: Impossible films to shoot back to back. But after that? Well, that’s when Edge Of Tomorrow 2 might slip in.

Liman is clearly deep in planning either way, as he’s now shared an image to his Instagram feed that gives a taste as to the sheer planning going into the new movie. Whilst most of the plot points are understandably blurred out, here’s a snapshot of the planning work…

We’ll keep you posted as we hear more on the project, of course. The best case scenario would appear to be that the movie can shoot next year.
