A special collector’s 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Titans Of Cult edition of The Matrix is heading to stores at the end of January: more here.
Whilst attention in the world of The Matrix is turning to next month’s release of The Matrix: Resurrections in cinemas, Warner Bros is wasting little time capitalising on fresh interest in the franchise with a new collectable release of the first film.
The 1999 movie The Matrix is the latest to join the Titans Of Cult range of physical media releases. If you’re unfamiliar with these, they generally involve a repackaging of an existing disc release (with the same extra features and such like), but in a collector’s package.
In this case, it comes with a collectable Steelbook case, a character magnet, a ‘unique epoxy pin’ and the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of the movie, as well as two Blu-rays in the box as well.
To reiterate: there’s no actual extra material on the discs themselves, just a posh new release of a much-loved film.
It’s set to go on sale in limited quantities from January 31st 2022. You can find more information, and order yourself a copy, right here.
