The final movie in the original line of X-Men films will land on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK this coming January.
It may, in the end, have been a quiet finale for the original Fox line of X-Men films, but The New Mutants is far from the low point of the movies as some would have you believe. The film, directed by Josh Boone, was of course kicked around the schedules for some time before being released in the midst of a pandemic. As such, lots of people missed it on its cinema run.
The disc release is set for America this side of Christmas, but it’s now been announced that we’ll have to wait just a little longer in the UK. The movie will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray over here from January 4th 2021. Expect the on demand release to be a few days before that at least.
We’re getting some extra features on the disc, too. The list on the back of the box suggests the Blu-ray and 4K versions will include:
- Deleted scenes
- ‘Origins an influences’
- ‘Meet The New Mutants’
- A commentary track as Josh Boone interviews Bill Sienkiewicz
- Trailers
