Armando Iannucci’s eagerly-awaited new film is out in the UK early next year…

It opened the London Film Festival earlier this month, but the rest of us mortals will have to wait a little longer for the release of Armando Ianucci’s The Personal History Of David Copperfield.

His new film features Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Paul Whitehouse, Daisy May Cooper, Morfydd Clark, Benedict Wong, Aneurin Barnard and Gwendoline Christie. Iannucci directs, from a screenplay he penned with Simon Blackwell. Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield is the source material.

The film is now confirmed to be distributed by Lionsgate in the UK. And the movie has been earmarked for release on Friday January 24th 2020.

More on the movie as we hear it.
