Michael Flatley stars in Celtic King, and the full musical is set to be made available for free from this evening – details here.

It’s Friday, and appreciating that lots of people will be turning to Disney+ to watch Hamilton this evening, The Shows Must Go On programme of free streaming musicals continues this evening too.

This was the programme set up when theatres and cinemas closed down in March, and each week since a full musical production has been made available to watch for free online. This week is no exception, and from this evening, a full production of Celtic Tiger, starring Michael Flatley, will be made available.

This particular production was recorded in 2005, and it’s described as a blend of RiverdanceThe Rocky Horror Show and The Wizard Of Oz.

The show goes live on The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel from 7pm tonight, and you can find it in the window below, or click through if you want to go direct to YouTube to watch it…

The synopsis reads as follows…

The international dancing master returns with another stage performance, taking as his subject the history and spirit of his native Ireland and its long traditions of music and dance.

And the show will be available for 48 hours. The identity of next week’s production should be revealed on Monday or Tuesday…
