The free online musicals and theatre productions YouTube channel springs back to life from Monday 8th March – more details here.

The Shows Must Go On is a programme of free weekly streaming musicals and stage productions, that started just under a year ago as the world went into lockdown for the first time. Each weekend, a new show streamed free of charge for a limited time. The programme has been taking a break for the last month or two though, with the promise that it’d be back in February.

Well, it’s taken a little longer, but it returns this coming Monday with a special production to celebrate International Women’s Day 2021. It’ll be a screening of Letters Live, where the likes of Olivia Colman, Gillian Anderson, Daisy Ridley, Caitlin Moran, Rose McGowan, Adwoa Aboah and Louise Brealey read out a series of historical letters.

The show will appear on Monday 8th March, and this one will be available for seven days. No word yet on whether this is a one-off return for The Shows Must Go On, or the start of a new series of events.

For the minute, here’s the promotional trailer…
