Universal is bringing the 1973 Oscar-winner The Sting to Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray in the UK, with a release date set for May.

Universal has a fair collection of catalogue titles planned for the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format over the rest of the year, and it’s just added the first of them for pre-order. The Oscar-winning 1973 classic The Sting is coming to the format, and its UK release has just been confirmed for 17th May 2021.

The movie, which stars Paul Newman and Robert Redford, took home a Best Picture gong amongst its Oscars, and it’s a terrific con movie, directed by George Roy Hill.

The disc too comes packed with a collection of extras, as well as a Blu-ray copy as well. But in the case of this release, all the extra features have been carried over to the 4K disc too, and will be presented in 4K resolution. Something that’s absolutely not always the case.

The movie is available for preorder now, and you can find more information and order yourself a copy right here.
