Cecil B DeMille’s 1950s biblical epic The Ten Commandments is coming to Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray disc in March.

The catalogue of older movies on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format is on the thin side still, although the likes of The Bridge On The River Kwai really do make the most of it. Next up for a 4K remaster, from the same era, is The Ten Commandments from Cecil B DeMille. Starring Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner and Anne Baxter, the movie is a religious epic following the story of Moses, and it’s being released just in time for Easter.

The 4K release, coming from Paramount, is due on March 29th 2021 in the UK. From the listing we’ve seen, it comes with two additional Blu-rays in the package too, that bring with them a few extra features. On the 4K disc itself, there’s a feature too: a commentary track from author Katherine Orrison.

You can preorder the movie and get more information here.

More older films on 4K please, if anyone in Hollywood is reading who can make these things happen. Many thanks.
