As Wayne’s World heads to its 30th birthday – bowing to no sponsor – new Blu-ray releases of the films are confirmed for the UK.
For certain readers of this article, but – er – absolutely not the author of it, this is about to make you feel just a little bit old. The first Wayne’s World film is 30 years old in February. The original film came out on February 14th 1992 and, well, yikes.
Directed by Penelope Spheeris and starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, the first Wayne’s World was a sensation. The second, arguably the better of the two films, then fell short of expectations at the box office, and every now and then there’s been talk of a Wayne’s World 3. It’s not going to happen though.
What is going to happen is a reissue on Blu-ray of the first two films.
As such, on February 7th 2022 a new 30th anniversary Blu-ray of Wayne’s World goes on sale. You can find that here, and the limited Steelbook edition of it is here.
And then on the same day, Wayne’s World 2 gets a reissue as well. And that’s up for preorder right here.
