Alan Carr will return to present a second run of Sky’s comedy movie panel show.

Sky One’s movie panel show There’s Something About Movies has been confirmed for a second series. The news was broken by its host, Alan Carr, who revealed on his Twitter feed that not only is the show returning, but it’ll be back later this year.

The first run of the show debuted back in May, with six episode screened. Two teams, chaired by captains Micky Flanagan and Michael Sheen, were joined by guests including Matthew Broderick and Rupert Everett, over the course of the show’s run.

We now learn too that series two of the show is having a slight personnel shuffle. Micky Flanagan won’t be back, and instead Jennifer Saunders will take over as one of the team captains. Tom Allen has also been confirmed as a regular panelist on her team.

No transmission date for series two has been announced as of yet, but the show will return before the year is out.
