The Star Wars movies are all coming back to DVD and Blu-ray in time for this year’s Star Wars day: more details here.

It’s been a while since we’ve had physical media releases of Star Wars films in new packaging, designed to try and get us to buy the films we’ve already bought all over again (the last time was this enormous Skywalker Saga boxset, in early 2020).

Now, rest assured, normal service has been resumed, as Disney announces a trilogy of trilogy boxsets across on both DVD and Blu-ray. As is the norm, these don’t appear to add anything new, instead being repackaging of the previous releases. We’re not expecting any further George Lucas tinkering either.

What you do get is new artwork for each set, with the extra features carried over from the previous releases. The listings for each of them have all gone live too

The Original Trilogy can be found here.

The Prequel Trilogy, with its coarse sand, is here.

And the Sequel Trilogy you can pick up here.

Star Wars 2022 boxset reissues

These are all on sale on May 2nd 2022, just in time for this year’s Star Wars day. It’s almost as if they knew. They’re all up for preorder now…
