Timestalker: Alice Lowe’s new movie lands backers

Alice Lowe’s time-jumping new movie is set to shoot this summer – and Hanway Films has snapped up the worldwide rights to it as well.

Ah, now here’s some really good news. Alice Lowe currently has one film as director to her name, the terrific Prevenge. Now, she’s about to go and shoot her second – and Hanway Films has just announced it’s picked up the worldwide rights to it.

The film is called Timestalker, and Lowe will direct again from her own script. She’s in the cast as well, alongside Sam Riley, Natasia Demetriou and Jacob Anderson. Filming will start in the summer, and the synopsis for the movie reads as follows…

TIMESTALKER follows hapless heroine Agnes (Alice Lowe) through time as she repeatedly falls for the wrong guy, dies a grim death, gets reincarnated a century later, before meeting him again and starting the cycle anew. It is one story told over many periods, all with the messy thrills and spills that come with daring to follow your heart. Or maybe your loins…

It’s going to be a movie that goes from the 1860s right the way through to the 22nd century. As we hear more about it, we’ll let you know…
