Four Tom Selleck-headlined Jesse Stone investigations are heading to DVD in the UK for the very first time.
If you’re looking for a bit of facial hair on the mushes of your detective stars, then how about a revisit of the Jesse Stone series of features? Between 2005 and 2015 – with reportedly another on the way – Tom Selleck played Stone across nine features. They’re the work of CBS and the Hallmark Channel, and in every one of them, Selleck understands the need to have whiskers above his top lip. He plays small town police chief Stone in the films, who over the course of them goes into and out of retirement.
Based on the series of books by Robert B Parker, the films have earned his seal of approval, and for the first time, a chunk of them are coming to DVD in the UK. They’re coming to disc courtesy of Mediumrare, and a collection of them have now popped up for preorder. Click on the links to find out more, and order yourself a copy.
