Liverpool and Swansea City footballing legend John Toshack is the subject of a new documentary film called Tosh: more details here.

Appreciating there’s now a growing line of documentary films telling the story of people associated with sports, particularly football, I’m nonetheless finding many of them really rather good. The most recent, that I’ve not see yet, is Rooney, that sits on Amazon Prime at the moment. But just around the corner is Tosh, that’s going to tell the story of John Toshack.

The film is going to tell his footballing story, covering his time at Liverpool and Swansea City, across both his playing and managerial career. Toshack is involved in the film himself and has recorded interviews for it. Further talking heads we’ll get on screen here include Alan Curtis, Wyndham Evans, Nigel Stevenson, David Giles, Ian Callaghan, Leighton James, Danny Bartley, Neil Robinson, Dzemal Hadziabdi, Carol Fowler, Sir Gareth Edwards and John Bishop, amongst others.

We don’t have a trailer for this one yet, but we do know that it’s going to be arriving on DVD and Blu-ray from June 6th 2022. You can find out more about the release, or order yourself a copy, here.
