Not to be confused with the 2005 Cate Blanchett film of the same name, upcoming sci-fi drama Little Fish has a trailer ahead of an early 2021 launch.

IFC films has launched the trailer for Little Fish, a futuristic romantic drama that takes place during a global pandemic where NIA is rife, a virus that expunges sufferers’ memories.

A young married couple (played by Olivia Cooke and Jack O’Connell) find themselves caught up in the wake of the pandemic not long after meeting. When one of them contracts NIA, the young lovers seek to find a way to preserve the memory of their love.

Little Fish is set to arrive (in the US at least) in cinemas and on VoD on February 5th. No word on a UK release date as yet.

The film is directed by Chad Hartigan, director of 2013’s This Is Martin Bonner.  The screenplay is penned by Mattson Tomlin who wrote The Batman, the upcoming return of the Dark Knight to our screens.

We’ll let you know when we hear confirmed details of a UK launch. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
