The unsettling story of new horror Smile revolves around the creepiness of a smile that never stops.
There is something inherently sinister about twisting something positive, a smile, in this case, into something negative.
Smile follows Dr Rose Cotter, who begins to experience unexplainable, menacing occurrences after witnessing a traumatic incident involving one of her patients. She must now navigate her terrifying new reality if she is to survive. Utilizing the tagline ‘What makes you smile?’, little else is known about the plot.
It is adapted from the short film of the same name by Parker Finn, who returns to write and direct. Sosie Bacon (daughter of Kevin) stars as Rose. Caitlin Stasey, who played Rose in the short film, also return for the feature, in a different role. Rounding out the cast is Veronica Mars alumnus Kyle Gallner, Harold and Kumar's Kal Penn and Scrubs star Judy Reyes.
