Two critically-acclaimed actors in a dark comedy thriller: Searchlight Pictures’ The Menu  continues to look enticing.

Last year’s casting announcement for Searchlight Pictures’ The Menu pushed the film up into the ‘highly-anticipated’ category when it was announced that Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes had been cast in the lead roles. What’s more, the news that the film would be directed by Mark Mylod, the guiding hand behind some of Succession's best episodes was an equally appealing revelation. In a further garnish, Succession's showrunner Adam McKay is also producing.

Now we finally have a trailer to feast our eyes on ahead of the film’s planned launch in November. in The Menu, Taylor-Joy and the excellent Nicholas Hoult play a couple who travel to an island to eat at a highly exclusive and lavish restaurant that isn’t quite what it appears to be. The chef (Fiennes) that is preparing the meals is including some ‘shocking surprises’.

Taylor-Joy’s star continues to rise after her lauded turns in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit and Edgar Wright’s Last Night In Soho. She will also be starring in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road spin-off Furiosa, which is currently shooting. Plus, Fiennes playing a chef with potentially darker motivations? Take our money! With an abundance of talent both in front and behind the camera, we’re certainly looking forward to this one. Until that November release date though, you can catch the trailer below.
