Dame Judi Dench leads the cast of an intriguing new movie, that heads to cinemas in April.
Now this looks like it might be fun. Dame Judi Dench leads the cast for the upcoming Red Joan, that’s arriving in UK cinemas this spring. She plays a retiree, Joan Stanley, who finds herself facing accusations when she’s arrested by MI5 and alleged that she was providing intelligence to communist Russia in her past.
And an interesting past, too. During World War II, she worked at a secret nuclear research facility, and finds herself in a conflicted position, as she begins to realise just what her work could involve.
The movie co-stars Sophie Cookson, Stephen Campbell Moore and Tom Hughes. It’s been directed by theatre legend Trevor Nunn, and the release date for the movie has been set at April 19th 2019. Here’s the trailer…
