Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear star in the latest film from Alex Garland: here’s the trailer for the incoming Men.

As one of our most gifted and unique storytellers, any upcoming Alex Garland project tends to be a highly anticipated event. However, we’re particularly excited for Men, given that the filmmaker’s last two haunting projects, 2018’s Annihilation and the TV miniseries, Devs, both launched on the small screen. Men, set to release in May will see Garland’s work return to cinema screens in the UK for the first time since 2014’s Ex Machina and that is an exciting prospect indeed.

Men is being released by A24 – and by Entertainment Film Distributors in the UK – and stars the wonderful Jessie Buckley opposite a terrifying Rory Kinnear in what appears to be multiple roles. Buckley plays Harper, ‘a young woman who goes on a solo vacation in the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband (Paapa Essiedu) in the hopes of healing. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.’

The film is set to hit cinemas on May 20th and if the trailer is anything to go by, we’re already anticipating the nightmares that will inevitably follow.

In the meantime should you want to gird yourself for the experience ahead, or you’re simply curious to know more, you can catch the trailer below.
