Wild-looking action flick Boss Level takes its cues directly from video games – and you can see the trailer right here ahead of its March release.

If you’re a fan of Groundhog Day, Edge Of Tomorrow or just have any kind of beef with Frank Grillo, Boss Level may be the film for you. What’s more,  the trailer has launched ahead of the film’s US release in March.

Grillo plays Roy Pulver, a secret service agent stuck in a time loop that he can only escape by saving the woman that he loves. Navigating a route out of said time loop requires him to defeat some of the most deadly opponents on the planet however, which means that it’s not a spoiler to tell you that Grillo’s character dies. A lot. In the trailer alone he is dispatched at least a dozen times, in a variety of entertaining ways.

In a similar fashion to a video game (hence the title), Pulver learns from each defeat and slowly becomes who he needs to be to take on a legendary cabal of foes.

Joe Carnahan directs and Boss Level also features Naomi Watts, Michelle Yeoh, Ken Jeong and Mel Gibson.

No release date is set yet for the UK but we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
