Trailer lands for intriguing-looking The Secrets We Keep

Catch your first look at the  dark period thriller The Secrets We Keep, starring Noomi Rapace and Joel Kinnaman, right here.

The trailer for The Secrets We Keep, a post-World War II thriller has just dropped and it looks interesting too.

The premise is fascinating: a survivor of brutal treatment at the hands of her German captors believes she recognises one of them in peacetime America, 16years later, Believing him to be a war criminal and seeking vengeance, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

The cast is promising as well. Noomi Rapace stars with Joel Kinnaman as the object of her ire. The film is directed by Yuval Adler, helmer of last year’s The Operative. The Secrets We Keep is set to hit cinemas in September and video on demand in October, although that could yet change of course.

You can check out the trailer below. Whilst it’s just a snippet, it looks like an interesting potboiler with a beautifully-designed period look to it, just the kind of well-made, small budget movie that could clean up in the void left by the blockbuster withdrawals, should the cinematic landscape upon its release remain as it is now.

More on the UK release as we have it. Here’s the trailer…
