Joe Bell, the new Mark Wahlberg-headlined film, is back and heading towards release – and the first trailer for it has now landed.

Mark Wahlberg’s latest film, which was reportedly recut following mixed reviews after its debut last year at the Toronto Film Festival, has launched its first trailer. Good Joe Bell was signed by Solstice Pictures for $20m at the Toronto Film Festival, and it now appears to be going by the name Joe Bell instead. It features Wahlberg as a blue-collar father who embarks on a walk across America to raise awareness about bullying and homophobia. All after his gay son commits suicide following bullying in school. The movie is based on a true story.

Wahlberg can be seen in three upcoming films, including Infinite, due here in UK cinemas in September, the aforementioned Joe Bell, and Uncharted, the action film based on the popular PlayStation franchise, due towards the back end of next year.

You can check out the trailer for Joe Bell below. The film is set to release on July 23rd in the US, although there are no firm release dates for the UK as yet.
