A fan of the classic Twilight Zone episode, Terror At 20,000 Feet? Then Shadow In The Cloud might be just up your street.

Chloe Grace Moretz stars in the upcoming Shadow In The Cloud, a new take on the classic set-up first introduced in the 1963 Twilight Zone episode, Terror At 20,000 Feet. That particular episode starred the mighty William Shatner and was memorable lampooned by The Simpsons in Terror at 5 1/2 feet.

Whilst the setup here is familiar, the film adds a historical, yet modern twist.

Chloe Grace  Moretz’s character is a WWII-era pilot tasked with transporting a crucial package. Placed mockingly by her male colleagues in a downwards-facing gun-port, Moretz is ostracised from her fellow servicemen and soon finds herself having to encounter enemy planes and gremlins which seemingly want to board the plane.

Whilst the WWII setting adds the tale a period air, the presence of Moretz as an all guns blazing female action hero is a more modern twist, no surprise given that some of the production team behind Atomic Blonde are behind this one.

It looks like rather loopy fun and you can catch the trailer below, ahead of the film’s release on January 21st.
